Whimsical, lighthearted, amusing… call it whatever you like, but you won’t be able to resist a smile! Vancouver’s One Elf miniature wearable food are perfect for young-at-heart foodies with a flair for fun. Carefully crafted from polymer clay, they look just like the real thing, only smaller!
Fair warning: It could be hazardous to your ears to wear those last ones near my peanut butter obsessed toddler! And how perfect would these cheeseburgers be at a casual summer bbq?
Anyone who knows me, knows that I *love* cake… You never ever have to twist my arm when that delicious treat is involved! So it will come as no surprise that these caught my eye:
So whether your favorite is waffles, tacos, avocado, hot dogs, or ice cream sandwiches, there’s a little something for everyone… Stop by the One Elf Etsy shop and see what’s on the menu!
I am having a bit of fun getting ready for Easter this year. Now that my daughter is old enough to have a little egg hunt, there is something a little more exciting about the whole experience! We already have some colourful plastic eggs to “hide”, a basket for her to gather them in, and she will probably even get a little treat or toy to play with. She is still a bit too young for much chocolate or candy, but that just means more for Mom and Dad, right? In fact, this year I think the Easter Bunny may go all out, and leave a few treats from Charlinda Belgian Chocolates when he/she hops on by!
But chocolate shouldn’t only be an Easter treat, it’s so versatile that it can be perfect for any occasion or no occasion at all!
Perhaps there is an upcoming wedding or baby shower that could use some decor that doubles as a small gift or an extra desert…
Charlinda is a mother-daughter team from Stoufville Ontario, and they use an old family recipe that has stood the test of time. They have mouthwatering almond bark, truffles, chocolate cherries, and chocolate in multitude of shapes and designs. There’s even a 3D canoe filled with maritime goodies, and I really like this sleek sailboat:
The ladies can make almost anything your heart desires, and custom work is welcome. Weddings, trade shows and other events can have a little something extra that won’t end up gathering dust on someone’s shelf, or in next year’s garage sale! Contact them for more details, or visit the website to see what is available.
Wishing you and yours a day filled with sweetness,
Jacki, the creative mind behind Plushoff, obviously has a great sense of humour! Her shop has had me giggling for the last little while, and I just had to share.
If you have a child who has trouble sleeping, maybe the Sleepy Marshmallow Bed Bug would help them snuggle in a little more…
Do you love ice cream, maybe want to impart that love on your little one early? Let them play with this plushie Strawberry cone!
Better yet, combine the ice cream with a jar of dill pickles for your pregnant friend ;)
Thanks for the smile today, Jacki from Kamloops! To see more of her work, check out her Etsy shop, visit her website or chat it up on Twitter and Facebook. She’s also been known to do custom orders, and wouldn’t these make adorable stocking stuffers?
Updated: Just discovered there’s a Plush Off shop on Cargoh, too :)
Ever since I stopped Trick or Treating and started handing out treats instead, I have always made sure that we have extra candy. That way we have plenty of leftovers for me to nibble on, sometimes right up until Christmas time! The other day I stumbled across the Bruce County Nut and Fudge Co. Let me tell you, if you gave out their treats on Halloween night, you would have the most popular house on the block! That said, I am pretty sure that you will NOT want to share these delectable goodies.
There are a seemingly endless array of fudge flavours to choose from. Everything from the classic Maple to Cookie Dough or Cappuccino. You can even go “nuts” and pick from all kinds of roasted and glazed nut selections, perfect for a holiday snack plate.
Yvonne, Melissa, and Tanya come by their sweet tooth honestly. They grew up watching their parents running a candy company, and have since created Bruce County Nut and Fudge Co. to bring fantastic sweet treats to a whole new generation. Their storefront is in Sauble Beach Ontario, but you can shop online by clicking over to their website. You can even join the apple of the month club!
I have to admit that I have a bit of a problem. An addiction really. I love Tickleberry’s.
I discovered these delicious treats several years ago while attending the One of a Kind craft show in Toronto. Tempted by all the variety of flavours (and the nice lady with the samples!), I had to try some. That is when my problem started.
Now I am unable to pass by a Tickleberry stand without coming home with some fantastic chocolate covered dried fruits. However, these treats are not just for anyone. I guard them like a fierce dog. If anyone is lucky enough to be offered one of these delicious goodies, it is imperative that they fully appreciate the sacrifice that I am making!
I haven’t had the pleasure of going to the Tickleberry’s store in Okanagan Falls, so I have yet to taste their ice cream, but I’d be willing to bet that it is delicious! Lucky for us, their “not-so-melty” products are available to purchase online and can be shipped right to your front door. So I don’t have to wait for the next craft show, and might be a little more willing to share!
My personal favorites are the cherries in dark chocolate, raspberries in dark chocolate, and the cranberries in white chocolate. Yum!
While I like the idea of fruit as a chocolate delivery system, Tickleberry’s also has a wide selection of dried Okanagan fruits that are delicious all by themselves.
Have a great day, and take a moment to savour a sweet treat that will leave you feeling tickled pink!
