Canadian+Handmade is the brainchild of sisters Sarah and Jennifer, and born of a love for things unique and made locally. In this case, “locally” taken in the broadest sense means anywhere in this vastly beautiful Canadian nation.

Jennifer has a particular fondness for coloured glass, loves all things sparkly, diving into a great book, big shady trees, and baby giggles.  She loves traveling throughout Canada, and currently has only one province and the northern territories left to see before she can “complete the sweep”.  She lives in Southwestern Ontario with her husband, her adorable toddler (and another on the way!), and their cat.  Her biggest crafty projects are scrapbooking and card making, but she truly admires and appreciates the talent and creativity of those who create so many other beautiful projects.

Sarah loves beautiful paper, her Nikon, going to the airport with passport in hand, buying local, a good meal with better wine and even better friends and discovering new campsites with her family. She relocated back to Southwestern Ontario in August of 2011, but will always carry a love of the Canadian prairie with her after 8 years “out west”. Her family consists of her stellar husband, their 2 girls, a dog and 2 cats. There used to be fish, but they aren’t very good at keeping them alive.
