Community Day #2: Music

We know you’re out there, working, playing, being inspired and challenged every day by the world around you, and we would love to get to know you a little better!

So, please join us here in the comments or on your social media avenue of choice (Facebook, Twitter) for our second Community Day session. Here’s the question of the day:

Do you crave music in your day, or does silence soothe your soul? If music is important to you, who are your favourite artists? Do they change depending on your mood?

P.S. Did you miss the last Community Day? You can still comment and share, we’d love to hear from you!

LOVE this! Music plays a huge roll in our lives here, we are always listening to something, or almost always. Our playlist is huge, full of variety and I love that!

Occasionally I have music on in my studio but typically I am listening to CBC Radio or play-by-play of a sporting event. The rare time I have the tunes on, it will be classic Rick or maybe bagpipes. Hmmm, I wonder if I would be more productive with more tunes vs talk radio?

  3. Steve Kubien says:

Geez, what the heck is “classic Rick”? That really should read “classic rock”. Typing on my iPhone is an adventure!

I also love to work to music (or tv) in the background. I can deal with silence too. I love CBC Radio 2 but i don’t have a radio at my work and we’re not allowed to stream live from the internet at work. Luckily I’ve got a wide variety of music on my ipod. And I’ve realized I have a bunch of old cds that I love that I’ve never put on it yet!

As I posted on twitter the other day, Jack Johnson always makes me happy! I’ve got way too many artists in my happy place though. I’d be here forever listing artists or songs. I’ve just finished writing a blog post for Sunday that is the soundtrack of my life!

I love my iPod when I’m working too, Sheryl – I never used to be able to concentrate with the music “in my head” like that, but it seems to help now :)

I really enjoyed your “soundtrack” blog post, too!

      Cheers,
      ~Sarah
