After a couple of fun road trips this summer, and an upcoming family vacation, I have travel on the brain. I hate to be lost, and while I love my GPS (we call her Naomi), I do sometimes miss the look and feel of a real old-school paper map. So I decided to try and find a new and interesting way to bring maps into my daily life. Soon I found Dombot online, and my search was over. Dombot has some lovely map-themed stationery, but what really caught my eye was the selection of magnets.
Once I found the bottle cap maps, I couldn’t help but check out the other varieties of bottle cap magnets, and found that I loved them all. The scalloped metal edges of the bottle caps give the magnets a slightly industrial feel, and the decor inside is so fun that I don’t know if I can pick a favorite.

Bring back fond (or not so fond) memories of science class with this fun set of biology themed magnets.
I think these would be great housewarming or going-away gifts for students headed to university or college. They aren’t childish, but still fun, and will help keep important notes and reminders handy on the fridge! There are also a variety of magnets that are not in bottle cap form and are just as entertaining.
Dominika creates her magnets in Calgary, and will happily do custom word choices or maps of particular cities. You can see more (including bottle caps filled with colourful cupcake sprinkles – perfect for the baker in your life) on the Dombot Etsy shop.
Happy Trails!
