Browsing through Etsy the other day, I came across these adorable Yermits and just had to giggle! Jenny, the artist, creates each one of a kind doll by hand at her studio in Guelph, ON. Her goal is to have a Yermit in every home, and we’re happy to help spread the word! How cute are these?!

Casey Delayermit is a singer songwriter from Montreal, which is the place to be these days for music types.
Not only are these dolls unique and lovingly crafted, but they each come with their own story. Here’s what Jenny says about the handsome singer above:
Casey Delayermit is a singer songwriter from Montreal, which is the place to be these days for music types.
Casey, who’s a self taught musician, plays in a band called “Kevin’s Whine”. The band is all the rage on campuses this year, and they’re about to put out their first CD.
This art doll is almost 20″ tall. In picture #5 he’s posing beside a 12″ bottle of (cheap) wine to give you an idea of his size.
He’s entirely designed and hand made by me, and is completely one-of-a-kind. He’s wearing a black and white striped shirt under his green sweater, cargo shorts and birkenstocks. (he wears the birks all year round, even in the -30C winter…we Canadians are a tough breed when it comes to weather) His guitar has a strap firmly attached, and is removable. he can play it, but I did help him a bit with the posing (a few well placed pins).
You can style his hair, depending on your mood, or whether he’s going to a job interview or not – or maybe to see his grandmother. (She wishes he’d shave.)
There are more pictures of him on my flickr – just search for yermit.
Here are a few more of my favourites…
Enjoy!
~Sarah
